Commands relating to folders

Here is a list of some of the basic commands to use with your linux distro and a command line.  Some of them are rather basic, but others I seem to forget as I dont use them often enough.

pwd shows current folder
cd /home/user/MyFolder/
navigating to a folder
ls /home
list of what’s in a folder
mkdir NewFolder
create a new folder

copy cp Folder /user/home -r (/user/home is the destination of the files, will change for you)
Move
mv /user/home/Folder /media/USBStick/ (user/home/Folder is the current location – /media/USBStick is the location your moving to)
Remove
rm /user/home/Folder -r
